Hidey Hole

Last night the tornado sirens went off twice and we had to cram ourselves into the closet under the stairs for safety. The wind sounded really scary and when we got IP this morning some of the neighbors trees were blocking the road. Crazy.

A Skinnier, Healthier Me

To this date I have lost 20 pounds! It took six months and lots of sweat but I am now actually skinnier than before I had Lilly. It's super exciting! Now I need to move onto my next goal of losing another ten pounds. Yay!

Rubber Duckies!

I gave Lilly a bath in the actual bathtub tonight. She had a blast and really enjoyed the ducks. It was marginally easier for me only because when she splashed, water didn't pour onto the kitchen floor and she didn't have a tin of interesting things to reach for on a counter. However, I was uncomfortable on the floor and terrified that she would drown. But it went well overall.

I  have posted more than one photo because I missed a few days here and there and this should help make up for it.

First Time in a High Chair

We've put her in our high chair at home many times but it has a higher back and a tray for extra support. This is the first time we've put her in a high chair while out. She's having a blast!

Hotness

Our air conditioner is not working properly. It blows air but the air is not cool. We had the same problem last summer. They thought we had a freon leak but they didn't find one. Maybe we do have one and they just didn't find it last time. It doesn't really matter. What does matter is that it is 9:30 at night and the house is 79 degrees. It's almost unbearable. We have all of the windows open so the air will circulate but it is still really uncomfortable. It'll be bad tomorrow too because they aren't coming to fix it until Monday. Ugh.

Almost There

I was sick last week. So, when I finally made it back to gym tonight I was a little afraid about what the scale might say. However, I managed to lose two pounds! That was probably due to the fact that I wasn't really all that hungry while I was sick. This means I am now only two pounds away from my pre-baby weight but, I am actually skinnier than I was then! Next goal, pre-marriage pants! There's a pair of DKNY jeans calling my name!

Tiny Hands

Lilly made her first sign today!!! We've been using baby sign language for almost two months now and she signed milk today! It was awesome! I can't wait until she signs mommy.

Blurred Sunset with Screaming Baby

I realized I hadn't taken a photo while riding back from picking up Derek at our friend Joe's house. I thought the sunset was pretty so I tried to snap a photo from our moving car while Lilly screamed due mostly to sleepiness and a little bit to hunger. So yeah...it's a little blurry.

Voiceless

I have laryngitis and even after staying home to sleep and barely talking all day yesterday I still have almost no voice. However, I feel a lot better so I came to work. But, the problem is I have no voice and I need to corral a bunch of kids all day. How do I do it you ask? Google translate! I just selected English to English translation and then clicked "listen" and voila, I now have a voice!

The first time I did it all the kids thought it was hilarious but, they listen and do what I ask of them. And it definitely gets their attention!
