Too Much Banana

This was all Derek. He thought banana in our bed plus baby was a good idea. As you can see she has as much as she could fit in her mouth and some on her chest. You can't even see the banana covered bedspread. But, she was really tired so while the idea of banana was exciting, once she had it she decided she would rather just lay there. She spit it all out about 30 seconds after this photo. And then fell asleep. Ahhh, the life of a baby.

An Afternoon Date

Soccer Day

I played soccer with all of my classes today. That means I played soccer for about six hours. I'm exhausted and ache all over. I'm getting too old for this.

Huh?

I am SOOO SLEEPY. I have not been getting enough sleep for the last few weeks and normally I am able to catch up on the weekends but, I had to be up early both days this weekend and naps just aren't realistic for me right now. So, I am exhausted.
When someone asks me a question, the best I can do for at least 45 seconds is stare blankly back at them until my brain has time to process the information. Then, I generally stall with some "umm's" and "I don't know's." Until something better manages to haphazardly fall from my mouth. And it's only Wednesday! Geesh. I'm actually surprised that this post makes any sense at all. Must be momentary juice clarity. (I just drank a glass of juice.) Oh, now I'm blank again. What was I saying? Which way is up? Where am I?

Monkies!

I took about 70 kids to the zoo today! It was really fun! I gave them a photo scavenger hunt in Spanish to complete and awarded to prizes to the first 4 groups to finish. They had a lot of fun and the trip went off without a hitch! Good day! This photo was taken while I was eating lunch. The restaurant is right next to the monkey habitat and they were curious and friendly.

Freezer Paper Stencils and Appliqué

I got all crafty and made these cute onesies. I used freezer paper to make stencils for the robot and the giraffe. The "l" is cut out of a piece of fabric and then glued and sewed on. I think they're cute!

Poop Wipes

My first successful baby craft. After throwing my first try away, it looked awful, I was able to cover a travel wipes case with pretty fabric! My case is different than all of the ones you see on the internet because I left the pop-up flap in the middle usable. All the tutorials online cover over this.

Fun With Crafts

I have decided to attempt to make some money by selling handmade baby items. I am working with Derek's grandmother who is an accomplished seamstress. We are going to make a ton of things. I'm starting with freezer paper stenciled onesies and covered wipes cases. Maybe it'll make some money. Either way, It is fun and a good project for the summer!

Sleeping Peacefully...Finally

Last night was bad. Really, truly awful. Lilly was up at least every hour and a half. We finally put her in bed with us. Now that Derek and I have to get up she is sleeping. Fun times.

A Work of Art

We went to Alex's senior art exhibit and had a wonderful visit with them. At the exhibit one of the pieces was a camera set up to show anyone who stood in front of a frame that contained a TV. This photo is an example. Lilly art.
